Are you passionate about sustainability and innovation? econext is bringing its next Ideathon back to Memorial University’s St. John’s Campus!
Over 48 hours, work in teams to build solutions for clean growth in Newfoundland and Labrador, network with industry professionals, and compete for cash prizes!

Event Details
- 📅 When: Friday, September 25, 2026 (5:00 PM) – Sunday, September 27, 2026 (5:00 PM)
- 📍 Where: Core Science Facility, Memorial University (St. John’s Campus)
- 👥 Eligibility: Any student enrolled at MUN, CNA, or Academy Canada (all disciplines welcome!)
- 🧑🤝🧑 Teams: 3–5 students per team
How It Works
- 🎯 The Challenge: The secret clean growth challenge will be revealed at the official Friday evening kickoff!
- ✍️ Registration: Sign up individually! You can bring a pre-formed team or build one during Friday night’s networking session—we’ll help match you!
- 📋 Team Submission: Finalized teams (3–5 members) will be registered on Friday evening, September 25.
Weekend Schedule Overview
- Friday, Sept 25 (5:00 PM): Kickoff, challenge reveal, team formation & networking
- Saturday, Sept 26 (All Day): Workshops & mentor check-ins
- Sunday, Sept 27 (Ending 5:00 PM): Final pitch presentations, judging & awards ceremony
